Orc Arrer Boyz

Another rank of Arrer Boyz. Just like the other ranks, I've repositioned the arms on these guys.

The main colors for this rank are Bubonic Brown and Snakebite Leather. As usual, the non-skin areas are highlighted up with Bleached Bone. After the whole model is done, I wash it with a brown & black mix.

I used my 2:1 Devlan Mud, Badab Black mix on the 1st four and man, I did not like the way it came out. I must've got too much black or put it on too thick. They came out really dark and splotchy. Had to go back in and dry brush a lot of the base colors back in. The fifth one I messed around with some magic wash I mixed up. Then I went back in and picked out a few areas.

Skin: Camo Green, Bad Moon Yellow highlights. Washed 2:1 Devlan Mud, Badab Black
Mushrooms are made from green stuff, shaved down toothpicks and paper clips.

Night Goblin Archers

Here is my unit of Night Goblin Archers, now up to 37 gobs. It includes full command and netters.

As with most of my stuff, I've got some old paint jobs and bases that I'd like to redo. Maybe when I get this army up to around 2000 or so points I'll start reworking some of the older stuff.

Night Goblin Archers

Here is another rank of Night Goblin Archers.

The color scheme for this rank is Bleached Bone and Chaos Black split on the hoods. The tunic is Bleached Bone.

The non-skin areas were higlighted up with Bleached Bone as usual.

After the model was highlighted it was washed with a 2:1 mix of Devlan Mud and Badab Black respectively. I experimented with thinning down the mix with some water. I won't do this again as it seems to increase the surface tension of the mix. It left some rings and a less smooth transition as with the undiluted mix. I did go back in afterwards and highlighted the Bleached bone areas.

Skin tone: Snot Green with Elf Flesh highlights.

I added a little mushroom made out of some green stuff and a toothpick.

Skin tone: Gretchin Green with Bad Moon Yellow highlights.

Skin tone: Knarloc Green with Bleached Bone highlights.

Skin tone: Camo Green with Elf Flesh highlights.

Skin tone: Coat d'arms Goblin Green with Bad Moon Yellow highlights.

Night Goblin Archers

Here is another rank of 5 Night Goblin Archers.

The first 3 were dipped in Minwax Polyshades Tudor Satin. The last two were washed with a 2:1 mix of Devlan Mud and Badab Black respectively. The dip works great on the grey part but on the bone paint you can really see the difference in staining the color compared with the wash.

The clothing color scheme was Bleached Bone for the top and Codex Grey for the bottom.

As usual, the non-skin pieces were highlighted up with Bleached Bone. After this it was either washed or dipped.

Night Goblin Archers

Here are some Night Goblin Archers I've been working on. I've decided not to go with the usual color scheme of all black clothing. I want my Orc and Goblin army to have a motley and fractious look so I'll be painting the ranks in different combinations of the same colors.

They've been painted up and highlighted with bleach bone, except for the skin colors of course. Then I dipped them in Minwax Polyshades Tudor Satin.
